Arturo Maia began His DJing career back in '97, pioneering into Mexico's psychedelic trance scene. He's been spinning in cities such as London, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As well as at some high-profile festivals such as the SOS in Japan, Turkey's Soulclipse, and the Earthdance in Costa Rica. He's played in every possible corner in Mexico, including some of the country's most recognized events such as the Aca World Sound Fest, Cumbre Tajín, Festival Vive Latino, Union Fest, New Year's Eve Son Pax Cancun, from 2001 to 2006 , Son Pax Acapulco, and of course, Maia's own Time and Space Festival. Maia Records is well-known throughout the World for delivering exceptional music, to take quality standards to the very limit, ever since their first release back in 2001: the Time and Space pt. 1 compilation. They are responsible for laying down some of the true –right-to-the-heart- classic psytrance anthems from the undisputable masterminds on the planet, such as Logic Bomb, GBU, Pixel, Wrecked Machines, Domestic, Astrix, GMS, The Antidote, Talamasca, Absolum, Shanti, Deedrah, Psysex, and of course our home artists, D-Tek and Ecliptic.
Yet ultimately, Maia has been deconstructed and rebuilt in order to uphold a meaningful change of our approach towards music in order to spread today’s absolute bee’s knees the World is missing out on, by primarily focusing on Mexican made music.
